About Shona

Practising Chiropractor of the McTimoney method (following in my father’s footsteps), I witnessed how spine health and lifestyle choices shaped well-being.

I trained not only in Chiropractic but also massage, Sacro-occipital technique and dry needling. After realising the limits of how Chiropractic can help long term health issues. Plus my own interest in Nutrition, I realised just how many more people I could help by giving advice on diet and lifestyle. I embarked on a 3year Graduate Diploma in Functional Nutrition, qualifying in 2025. I treat every person I meet on an individual level, focusing on factors that may be creating your symptoms.

I live and work in Exeter, and also work and co-own The Rose & Crown Clinic in South Molton.

Chiropractic Practice

I practise the McTimoney method of Chiropractic. This is a treatment known for its gentle yet effective approach. I will rebalance and realign your body to increase mobility, relieve pain and discomfort and ensure you stay that way. The method uses quick, gentle and accurate adjustments and is suitable for people of all ages, including children, during pregnancy and the elderly.

It’s effective for ;

  • Sciatica, mechanical back & neck pain.
  • Pain, discomfort & stiffness in joints.
  • Migraine prevention & headaches.

I am a member of the McTimoney Association (MCA) and registered under the General Chiropractic Council (GCC).

Functional Nutritional Therapy

Functional nutrition is a personalised approach that goes beyond calories and macros to address the root causes of health issues, not just symptoms. It tailors nutrition to your unique body, medical history, lifestyle, and health goals.

I can target issues such as;

  • High cholesterol & cardiovascular health
  • hormone imbalances
  • gut health
  • blood sugar balance and sustainable weight loss.

Through detailed analysis, we create customised a plan for you and suggest supplements and testing only when needed to support your body. Preferring the food first approach to nourish you whenever possible.

I am a member of the British Association of  Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT)
