Frequently asked questions
What is Functional Nutrition, how does it differ from convention nutrition/dietician?
Functional nutrition highly personalised approach. It takes a root-cause approach, looking at how food and nutrients affect your body’s systems and addressing underlying imbalances rather than just symptoms.
Unlike traditional nutrition that often focuses on calories and macronutrients, I will consider your unique medical history, lifestyle, and diet to create an individual nutrition plan.
What conditions can you help with?
With a combined skill set of Chiropractic and Nutrition, I am now well skilled to help you optimise overall wellness.
Over 25 years of chiropractic wisdom to help alleviate pain and discomfort and help you to move.
With nutrition work I can now support a wide range of health concerns including digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, weight loss, autoimmune conditions, chronic fatigue, food sensitivities, metabolic disorders, skin conditions, mood disorders, and chronic inflammation.
Do you work with people already receiving medical care?
Absolutely, I do not diagnose or prescribe, but love to work alongside other health professionals towards to best outcome for you.
What can I expect from an initial consultation?
Whatever you come into the treatment room, you will receive my full attention for up to 90min. I act like a forensic investigator reviewing your detailed health history, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, stress levels, sleep patterns, and eating habits.
From here we can decide on the best course of action, either some Chiropractic Care or filling in a food diary, suggesting lab testing (optional) and putting together a health optimisation plan.
